The Old Grammar School and a 15th-century timber-framed house stand around the 12th century church of St Nicolas at The Green in Kings Norton. They lie adjacent to the churchyard of St Nicolas church, at the north west of the village green.

It was probably built in the early 15th century as the priest's house to the Church of St Nicholas. Intwo women broke into the school with the intention of burning it down in a protest for the cause of women's suffrage.

It is situated east of the A, just north of the B in Cotteridge. The Old Grammar School dates from the 15th century and is one of the oldest such schools in the Midlands.
